Unusual Days - Snot-Nosed Kid - GLOG Class
Snot-nosed Kid
You are an innocent (or bratty) youngster. To you, the world is wide and full of wonder. You are curious and simple-minded, and often find yourself pestering adults and getting into trouble.
Equipment: big lollipop, propeller hat, baseball bat (1d6 dam), slingshot (1d4 dam)
Skills (roll 1d6): Hiding, seeking, drawing, imagining, crying, asking "why?"
Gain +1 CHARISMA and +1 Snot for each Kid template you possess.
A: Youngster, Snot-nosed
B: Sugar Rush
C: Three Kids In A Trenchcoat
D: Imaginary Friend
Youngster: You are young and small, so people often underestimate you. You can do simple arithmetic and reading, but anything more than that is a struggle for you. When you face something truly scary or UNUSUAL (boogeymen, vampires, ghosts, etc.) you are frightened and must either run away, hide, or cling to a trusted adult. As you are frightened, you begin to cry. While crying, you cannot attack with your toys or weapons. However, every ally in earshot of you crying gains advantage to all rolls related to fleeing or defeating the current foes. In addition to this, your Trusted Adult gains +2d4+1 temporary HP. Once the encounter is over, you give a couple sniffles and stop crying. Temporary HP is lost at the end of an encounter.
Snot-nosed: You have a perpetually snotty, runny nose. For each Kid template you gain, you produce +1 extra snot each day. With a ranged attack roll, you may spend 1 (or more) Snot to sneeze on a Nearby enemy and deal 1d6+LVL poison damage to them. Spending more snot increases your sneeze damage by +1d6. Targets must save, or come down with a cold in 1d6 days. This attack is doubly effective against germaphobes and aliens. After snot is expended, it returns after a long rest (bedtime).
Sugar Rush: You are a bundle of energy. This in itself is manageable, but once you load up on cheap sugars (via eating fistfuls of candy or downing a large bottle of soda), you enter a Sugar Rush. While in a sugar rush, you race around the immediate area, can make three attacks per turn (you still need to roll), and suffer half the incoming damage you normally would. However, while you are in a Sugar Rush you are not calm enough to think straight or perform tasks that require concentration. After the scene or encounter where you entered your sugar rush ends, you must make a Constitution save. If you fail, you suffer a Sugar Crash. As a result, you have a tummy ache and are sluggish and foggy-headed for the rest of the day. If you succeed, you barf and only suffer a sugar crash and tummy ache for the next 1d6 turns. After this however, if you enter another Sugar Rush, afterwards you will automatically suffer a Sugar Crash.
Three Kids In A Trenchcoat: If you gather a couple other youngster friends, an old trenchcoat, and maybe slap on a fake mustache, you can fool adults into thinking you are one of them. Of course, while in this formation, you come off as clumsy and odd and have a hard time performing delicate tasks.
Imaginary Friend: You've had imaginary friends for a while. Dozens of them, in fact. This new one feels different, a little more real. Your imaginary friend is a 2 HD imaginary creature. Talk to your GM about what your imaginary friend looks like and what their name is. Feel free to get really silly! Tyko is a pink shark in a tutu that rides on rollerblades.
When you face the UNUSUAL, or any real peril, your imaginary friend will help you out. Instead of crying, you can decide to wipe your eyes and face your fear. If you would suffer any damage from an UNUSUAL foe, your imaginary friend will take the blow instead.
Also, if you ever enter any alternate reality like fairyland, the dream world, or inside of a cursed movie playing on the TV, your imaginary friend will be present and visible to everyone else. In the event that your imaginary friend dies, they turn around to tell you to be a good kid and eat your vegetables before fading away into nothing.
After this, you lose this template and grow up a little. You might want to retire this character, or pick another age-appropriate class. Perhaps the GM will be nice and do a little time skip for you.
Don't you worry! There's more posts in the works. Thanks for sticking around!
